Strangers Thing Media GCSE Tanish

The lighting for this scene of the Stranger Things is black. The colour black represents dark, scary and nothing so this could mean the creators behind Strangers Things wanted to convey how intense and frightening this scene is.

The setting of this scene is like a dystopian, supernatural and science fiction atmosphere. The colour black works well with the setting creating a surprising atmosphere for the audience. The time where it is meant to be presented in was 1983 which gives us connotations of olden things like old televisions, old- looking house and cars which were shown it the scene to make to easy to tell this setting is displayed in the past.

The actors were wearing generic, everyday clothes to show that they were living normal lives until supernatural beings appeared out of nowhere. The climax is shown at the start of the series which will make it more juicy and make the audience come back to watch more episodes. Also, the child actors were just playing like average kids and aren't shown to be any different to a normal child. The supernatural beings were added to spice up the series and add drama because a normal show with generic stereotypes would be boring to watch and the audience would not watch it again and again.l
