Media Assessment LR Response

 1. WWW: Although the grade isn't where we want to be eventually, I think this is down to exam technique rather than a lack of knowledge. You answer every question and clearly know the CSPs well. Exam technique is something we can improve quite rapidly.

EBI- They key lesson here is question focus - you must answer the question. Make sure you understand what it is asking you to do and stick to it: e.g Q4 narrative theory, Q6 social class, Q7 social and cultural contexts of British society.

2. C - Costume: The player is wearing red and black rugby kit which has connotations of seriousness and dedication.

L - Lighting: The stadium floodlights tell the audience that there are connotations that something big is going to happen.

A - Actor placement and movement: The rugby player is very shocked and happy.  The player's face suggests he is showing himself to the core and working very hard.

M - Make up: The player's face is shining under the lights which makes it look like he is the main star and the attention focuses on him.

P - Props: The tyre is significant because it indicates the battle the player is fighting which fits the slogan.

S - Setting: the stadium setting suggests to the audience that the player and company are very serious about what they are doing.

3) What social class is Reveal aimed at? (Extension - what do the cover lines on Reveal suggest about what working class people are interested in?) Reveal is aimed at working - class people.

 4) Pick three cover lines from Tatler that reflect upper class British culture and society. Explain what they suggest about the lifestyle and beliefs of upper class British people.

"Millennial slonas" - This shows us the language rich people use.

"Most invited 2017"- This shows the upper class lifestyle and how rich people get invited to a lot of parties.

"The new posh"- This shows us that Tatler is trying to move with the times.
